The Story Behind Tajdeed e Wafa OST
Tajdeed e Wafa OST is the title song for HUM TV's 2018 family drama about a marriage strained by conflict and the effect that strain has on the couple's children. Amanat Ali and Dania Farooq share the vocals, with Naveed Nashad composing and Imran Raza writing the lyrics. The pairing gives the soundtrack two perspectives, a fitting frame for a serial built around spouses, siblings, parents and children negotiating loyalty and self-respect. Written for television by Sameera Fazal and directed by Ilyas Kashmiri, the drama follows Neha and Ashar's troubled household while Arsal and Hareem try to build a different future. The song's compact form works as an emotional introduction to that larger question: whether damaged family bonds can be renewed rather than merely endured.
Meaning & Translation
Tajdeed e Wafa means the renewal of faithfulness, loyalty or devotion. Here, wafa is more than romantic fidelity: it also suggests the promises that hold a family together, while tajdeed implies making those promises alive again after they have weakened. In the drama's context, the title points toward relationships damaged by resentment, duty and silence. The song's central idea is therefore not simple reconciliation. It asks whether love can be rebuilt through honesty and a fresh commitment, especially when children and younger couples inherit the consequences of earlier choices. The phrase carries both hope and unease, because renewal matters only after trust has already been tested.
