The Story Behind Tu Hi Hai Mera
Tu Hi Hai Mera is Mehtab Hassan's romantic theme for Bechara Dil, Green TV Entertainment's 2025 Eid telefilm. Waqar Hassan wrote the lyrics, and Momin Ali Baqi Awan composed the song. Green TV uploaded the two-minute-fifteen-second recording on June 3, ahead of the telefilm's Eid-ul-Adha presentation.
The film pairs Shahzad Sheikh as Umar, a university student with a stutter who finds an outlet in stand-up comedy, with Aiza Awan as Gul, whose initial dismissal gives way to affection. Directed by Zaid Safdar Sandhu and written by Adeel Razzaq, their story connects the courage to perform with the courage to express love. The soundtrack gives that hesitant romance a direct declaration: even when speaking is difficult, devotion can still be clear.
Meaning & Translation
Tu Hi Hai Mera means 'You alone are mine', or, more naturally in a romantic context, 'You are the one for me'. The small Urdu word hi puts the emphasis on you: the beloved is singled out as the person who matters above everyone else. Mera adds the language of closeness and belonging.
Read alongside Bechara Dil's hesitant love story, the title sounds like a clear confession of feelings that are harder to say aloud. Its emotional force comes from the contrast between a simple certainty about love and the vulnerability of expressing it. The words hold affection and reassurance in one brief statement.
