The Story Behind Tumhare Hain OST
Tumhare Hain OST is Jimmy Khan's compact, moody theme for ARY Digital's 2017 romantic serial about love strained by friendship and insecurity. Khan composed and sang the track, Ali Hayat Rizvi wrote the lyrics, and Saad Hayat produced the recording. Its indie-folk character gives the drama a darker, less conventional palette than a sweeping television ballad, with a restrained vocal and concise arrangement that leave the tension exposed. The song mirrors Rayan and Aania's uncertain bond as Zoya's place in Rayan's life unsettles their plans. It later earned Jimmy Khan a Best Television Track nomination at the 17th Lux Style Awards, marking this brief theme as one of its season's notable soundtrack releases.
Meaning & Translation
The Urdu title Tumhare Hain means "We are yours" or "We belong to you." It frames love as a promise of complete emotional allegiance, but the drama gives that promise an uneasy edge. Rayan and Aania love each other, yet Aania's fear of his closeness to Zoya makes belonging feel uncertain rather than secure. The song therefore reads as both reassurance and appeal: one person offers devotion while asking the other to trust it. Its romantic language carries a trace of melancholy, because saying that the heart belongs to someone does not guarantee that doubt, friendship, or family pressure will let the relationship remain whole.
