The Story Behind Turbo
Turbo brought Atif Aslam together with Risham Faiz Bhutta for VELO Sound Station Season 3 in 2025. Polarite Productions produced, mixed and mastered the track, while sharing composition credit with Adnan Dhool, Aslam and Bhutta. Dhool, Aslam, Bhutta and Omer Ahmed wrote the lyrics. The pairing puts Aslam's seasoned, full-bodied delivery beside Bhutta's sharper contemporary presence, giving the song the feel of a playful vocal contest. Its brisk pop pulse, repeated eye-contact imagery and momentum-driven hook turn flirtation into motion, while the title captures that sense of acceleration. Meaning & Translation
Turbo uses its English title as a metaphor for attraction moving at full speed. The Punjabi and Urdu lyrics unfold as a teasing exchange in which eye contact becomes both a challenge and an invitation.
