Zindagi Gulzar Hai OST (Acoustic Version)

The Story Behind Zindagi Gulzar Hai OST (Acoustic Version)

Hadiqa Kiani revisited Zindagi Gulzar Hai in a 2019 acoustic performance for her Hadiqa Sessions series. Released on her official channel on March 12, this version returns to the female soundtrack theme associated with HUM TV's drama starring Sanam Saeed and Fawad Khan. The song brings together Shany Haider's composition and Naseer Turabi's poetry.

The drama follows Kashaf and Zaroon as class differences and personal mistrust complicate their relationship. Kiani's session takes that familiar soundtrack into an acoustic setting, placing the voice and the poem's reflective phrases at the centre. Memory, longing and the passing of time give the words their emotional weight. The release belongs to her series of acoustic videos, offering a later performance of the theme beyond its original television setting.

Meaning & Translation

The Urdu title means "life is a garden in bloom," an image of beauty and possibility. Kiani's song dwells on the ache behind that image: a life spent waiting for gentler days, approaching someone whose presence cannot erase loneliness, and watching moments slip into memory. Its dust imagery suggests squandered promise and emotional exhaustion. Days, evenings and nights become measures of what has been lost or left unsaid. The repeated sense of passing gives longing a quiet persistence. Read alongside Kashaf's story, the words reflect how disappointment can harden a person even while hope for companionship remains.
