Aaghosh

About Aaghosh

Aaghosh centers on a mother (Shaista Jabeen) whose life fractures when domestic conflict and discrimination separate her from her five sons. With trauma leaving her vulnerable and isolated, the boys grow into adulthood far from her and from one another, each carrying a different piece of the family's loss. A compassionate man who once loved her steps back into her life as a caregiver, offering dignity and shelter while the possibility of reunion slowly comes into view. Written by Adeem Hashmi and directed by Syed Shakir Aziz, the PTV production builds its drama around maternal devotion, memory, prejudice, and the fragile work of rebuilding trust. Jabeen leads an ensemble that includes Nighat Hassan, Sawera Sheikh, Nuzhat Kazmi, Safia Haider, Nusrat Mehmood, Imran Ghaznavi, Tariq Wasim, Rehan Sheikh, and K. M. Rana. It is an emotionally direct family story about whether care can repair what separation has broken.
