About Aakhri Station

Seven women, played by Eman Suleman, Sanam Saeed, Anam Goher, Farah Tufail, Malika Zafar, Nimra Bucha, and Amara Butt, seem to share little beyond a train compartment. Each is carrying a private battle shaped by depression, violence, HIV stigma, exploitation, poverty, or displacement. As their journey unfolds, wary strangers begin to recognize their own hurt in one another, turning the carriage into a space where survival no longer feels solitary and the possibility of change can take root.

Written by Amna Mufti and directed by Sarmad Khoosat, Aakhri Station is a compact seven-part ensemble drama rooted in the experiences of women from different regions of Pakistan. Its anthology structure moves between distinct lives while the shared train journey gives them one emotional destination. The series confronts difficult social realities without reducing its women to victims, finding dignity in the choices they make under punishing circumstances. The destination matters, but the deeper pull is watching strangers become witnesses to one another's courage.
