Daasi begins with a collision of temperaments. Sunehri (Mawra Hocane) is a lively young woman from a modest household, holding on to her optimism while social pressure closes in around her. Ahil (Adeel Hussain) is quieter and bruised by grief, leaving home after his father's death and growing tensions with his mother.
