About Daldal

Daldal turns the dream of escaping hardship into a bruising social drama. Shuja (Zahid Ahmed), a frustrated man from a struggling family, is convinced that life in the West will solve every problem. When legal routes fail, ambition pulls him toward illegal migration, separating him from his wife Hira (Armeena Khan) and placing him at the mercy of choices he never imagined making. Back home, Hira must adjust to a less privileged household while Shuja's responsible brother Kamran (Muneeb Butt) tries to build a steadier future with Sania (Kinza Hashmi).

Written by Qaisra Hayat, the 26-episode serial uses the family's contrasting paths to examine poverty, status anxiety, human trafficking, and the dangerous fantasy that prosperity is waiting just beyond the border. Around them, Sakina (Asma Abbas) and Saadat (Abid Ali) embody the pressures shaping a household where every sacrifice carries a price. The pull is not just Shuja's journey, but the cost of his dream for everyone who loves him.

Editor’s Take

Zahid Ahmed makes Shuja's hunger for escape feel combustible, while Muneeb Butt gives Kamran's quieter decency real weight. The migration passages have a raw, claustrophobic charge, even when the camerawork undersells their danger. Our one gripe? By episode 17, repeated misery and stalled movement were already muddying the drama's urgency. Still, Qaisra Hayat's contrast between reckless ambition and patient responsibility bites hard. This is social-issue television with dirt under its fingernails.
