Gajra

About Gajra

In Gajra, an arranged marriage turns one home into an uneasy landscape of longing and silence. A hopeful wife (Sonya Hussyn) wants more than the appearance of togetherness, but her husband (Sami Khan) is held back by private barriers that keep emotional and physical closeness out of reach. What begins as quiet distance becomes a crisis the couple can no longer ignore. Rather than treating intimacy as a simple romantic finish line, the telefilm follows them as they seek counseling, practice patience, and try to understand what stands between them.

The setup gives Gajra an unusually intimate domestic focus, with Hammad Farooqui rounding out the central cast. Its conflict is rooted not in grand conspiracies, but in the difficult work of communication inside a marriage. For viewers drawn to relationship dramas that take silence seriously, this New Year special offers a compassionate story about two people deciding whether honesty and care can turn a formal bond into a genuine partnership.
