Gila follows Anzela (Anzela Abbasi), a young woman whose life is overturned when she is blamed for a crime she did not commit. What begins as a romantic drama soon becomes a knot of love, deceit, and accusation, with every relationship placed under pressure by the suspicion surrounding her. Wahaj Ali plays the story's emotional counterweight, anchoring a conflict that asks whether affection can survive after trust has been poisoned and appearances seem stronger than truth.

Written by M. Hanif Chauhan and directed by Sikandar Ali, the serial unfolds in the intimate, combustible world of family loyalties, where one allegation can reorder futures and turn allies into doubters. Anzela's fight is not only to clear her name, but to hold on to her sense of self while other people decide what they believe about her. Gila's sharpest weapon is its instantly legible hook: put Anzela under suspicion, then let love and loyalty buckle around her. Anzela Abbasi and a young Wahaj Ali give the melodrama an appealing early-career charge, a pairing later coverage still remembered warmly. Our one gripe? Seventy-seven episodes give one accusation a very long shadow, and that much runway tests the story's momentum. Even so, its old-school soap machinery has a stubborn grip. Messy, earnest, and hard to shake.
