About Girhein

At the center of Girhein is Nimra (Sehar Afzal), a university gold medalist whose future seems as bright as her parents Ashraf and Samina could hope. Their relative Suraiya sees that promise differently. Her son Rashid (Haris Waheed) wants Nimra, and Suraiya is determined to secure the match even though Nimra would never choose it for herself. Then Wajahat (Hashaam Khan), a successful young businessman, falls for Nimra, and their hard-won path toward marriage turns the family's private jealousy into something far more dangerous.

Written by Imran Nazir, this 88-episode drama treats kinship as both shelter and trap, asking how much harm can hide behind a familiar face. The explicit black-magic scenes drown out the more interesting human betrayal and prompted calls for the serial to be banned. We prefer its poison in a quieter cup, but this is family melodrama with a memorably dark sting.
