About Hawain

Hawain begins with an ordinary household being torn apart by an extraordinary injustice. Shehnaz (Ghazala Kaifee), a schoolteacher and mother, is forced into a fight she never expected when her husband Meer Muhammad (Talat Hussain) is arrested for a murder he did not commit. As she works to protect his name and hold the family together, their daughters Saima (Huma Nawab) and Asma (Komal Rizvi) must grow up beneath the weight of public suspicion, legal pressure, and wounded family honour. Writers Asghar Nadeem Syed and Farzana Nadeem Syed turn the false accusation into more than a legal crisis: it becomes a test of what a family can preserve when power, reputation, and fear close in at once. With a rich PTV ensemble that also includes Qazi Wajid and Kaiser Khan Nizamani, Hawain brings social injustice down to the scale of a home, where every rumour has a cost and every act of resolve matters. Talat Hussain is the gravitational pull here, making Meer Muhammad's ordeal feel painfully human while Ghazala Kaifee gives the family's resistance its spine. We love how Hawain turns a false murder charge into intimate pressure inside one home, the very quality that helped it endure in PTV memory. Our one gripe? The premise wears its social message a little too plainly at times. Even so, this is socially conscious family drama with a pulse.
