About Heer Da Hero

In the packed lanes of old Lahore, two families have been feuding so long that nobody quite remembers why. Heer (Amar Khan) is a small-town TikTok star with a huge following and zero interest in who she offends. Hero (Imran Ashraf) is all swagger in public and surprisingly soft underneath, and the last person he expected to fall for is the daughter of the rival house. After a run of gloriously ridiculous first encounters, the two start catching feelings, right as a suitor named Zain arrives for Heer and the old rivalry hardens into a fiercely contested community election with Heer and Hero on opposing sides. Written by Amar Khan and directed by Saima Waseem for Har Pal Geo, this Ramadan comedy plays inner-city politics as pure farce, complete with rival campaigns, petty conspiracies, and a family feud that has never looked sillier.

Imran Ashraf and Amar Khan are having so much fun here that it's contagious: he plays all swagger with a soft streak underneath, she plays a small-town TikToker with a raw, unglamorous honesty that never winks at the camera. The old Lahore setting is refreshingly unpolished: no glam, no bling, just noisy neighbours and election-season scheming. Our one gripe? Over a nightly Ramadan run the feud gags start repeating themselves, and the show is content to stay comfort food. Delicious comfort food, mind you.
