About Uraan

Malka (Kinza Hashmi) grew up middle class and has never made peace with it. She wants the lavish life she watches everyone else living, and she is engaged to Asim, a man she does not much like, while she quietly waits for someone better. Her elder brother Aqeel is cut from the same cloth, forever chasing the shortcut that will lift them out of their circumstances. Only the youngest sibling, Manahil, believes hard work and patience will get her there, and she is the one who absorbs the damage every time Malka and Aqeel reach for more. Written by Jahanzeb Qamar for 7th Sky Entertainment, this 2020 Har Pal Geo serial turns one household's hunger for status into a running tally of what greed costs the people standing closest to it. Aijaz Aslam, Rubina Ashraf, Adeel Chaudhry, Farhan Malhi and Zainab Qayyum fill out the ensemble.

Kinza Hashmi plays Malka without once begging you to forgive her, and that is the whole appeal: a heroine whose hunger for a richer life curdles in real time while Har Pal Geo keeps the tracks moving fast enough that you never get a breather. Our gripe is the back half. Past episode 25 the twists turn forced, clearly buying time to stretch this to 45 episodes, and the ending pays back none of that patience. Ride the first half, brace for the second.
