Ishq e Jahan

About Ishq e Jahan

Ishq e Jahan follows Abdul Rehman, the head of a family whose relationship with his two sons is marked by unequal treatment. He and his wife, Mariam, are the parents of Umar and Zaid, but Abdul Rehman consistently favours Zaid over Umar. His expectations are accompanied by frequent criticism and insults, making the reasons for his behaviour the story's central question.

With Nausheen Ahmed and Shahroz Sabzwari in the cast, this A Plus presentation centres on a familiar family tension: the difficulty of understanding a parent whose demands and affections do not appear to follow the same rules. The comparison between Umar and Zaid places their father's favouritism at the heart of the premise. Why Abdul Rehman treats them this way is left to unfold, with the focus on the complicated relationship between a father and his sons.
