About Jalan

Jalan turns sibling rivalry into a combustible family melodrama about jealousy, entitlement and the seduction of a more glamorous life. Nisha (Minal Khan), the pampered younger daughter in a close-knit household, is accustomed to getting whatever she wants. Her elder sister Misha (Areeba Habib) is generous, composed and forever willing to compromise. When the wealthy, polished Asfandyar (Emmad Irfani) falls for Misha and marries her, Nisha begins measuring her own future against her sister's new life. The steady devotion of her cousin and fiance Ahmer (Fahad Sheikh) suddenly feels inadequate, and admiration curdles into a dangerous obsession.

Written by Sidra Sehar Imran and directed by Aabis Raza, the serial builds its tension from two sharply opposed sisters and the damage caused when affection becomes competition. Minal Khan gives Nisha's envy a restless, watchable edge, while Areeba Habib's restraint makes Misha the emotional counterweight. It is glossy, provocative family drama designed to keep loyalties shifting.

Minal Khan is the engine of Jalan. Her eyes register every flicker of envy before Nisha says a word, making even her ugliest choices compulsively watchable. We also love how Areeba Habib's quieter performance gives that fire something tender to burn against. Our one gripe? The serial sometimes repeats its provocations after the point has landed. Still, this is unapologetically combustible television, powered by a villainous turn that refuses to ask for your approval.
