In Lahore, a generations-old feud between the Amritsari and Bin Yameen families casts a long shadow over Mehmal (Sajal Aly), a spirited young woman determined to continue her education despite the rules imposed by her powerful household. At university she encounters Professor Zaviyar Manto (Humayun Saeed), an economics lecturer whose dry wit and quiet defiance offer a striking alternative to the world she knows. Their growing connection becomes more dangerous when Farhad (Azaan Sami Khan), an entitled heir from the rival family, fixes his attention on Mehmal and pulls old hostilities closer to the campus. Around them, the grief-hardened Surayya (Saima Noor) and Manto's perceptive colleague Maria (Sanam Saeed) deepen a story about ambition, inherited violence, and the cost of speaking plainly.
