About Mann Jogi

Aliya (Sabeena Farooq) is trapped when her politically powerful husband, Chaudhry Shabbir (Gohar Rasheed), ends their marriage in anger and then tries to manipulate faith to reclaim control over her life. His plan forces her into a secret marriage with Ibrahim (Bilal Abbas Khan), a gentle, sheltered mosque muezzin carrying the grief of losing his family. What begins as coercion sends Aliya and Ibrahim into flight through a neighbourhood shaped by political bullying, religious intolerance and suffocating ideas about a woman's agency.

Written by Zafar Mairaj and directed by Kashif Nisar, Mann Jogi turns the pursuit into an intimate story of two vulnerable people learning courage in each other's company. Sabeena gives Aliya grit without sanding away her fear, while Bilal makes Ibrahim's quiet decency feel heroic. Gohar's volatile Shabbir keeps danger close. It is a socially alert romance with tenderness at its centre, asking who gets to wield faith and who pays when power disguises itself as piety.
