About Mayi Ri (Movie)
Mayi Ri follows Annie (Aina Asif), a bright schoolgirl determined to continue her education, and her cousin Fakhir (Samar Jafri), a careless teenager with plans of his own. Their elders decide that marriage is the solution to the family's problems, forcing two young people who bicker and resist into adult roles neither chose nor understands. As the household closes around them, Annie fights to protect her studies and sense of self, while Fakhir wrestles with expectations he is not equipped to meet. Naumaan Ijaz, Maria Wasti, and Maya Khan anchor the older generation whose choices shape the teenagers' lives.
