About Meesni

Meesni follows Sahira (Mamia), a young woman raised in poverty whose hunger for wealth turns charm into strategy. She dreams far beyond the life she was born into and refuses to care who pays for her rise. When her deceptions draw brothers Zaid (Arsalan Butt) and Waleed (Bilal Qureshi) into the same emotional trap, desire becomes a weapon and a family begins to splinter.

Written by Muhammad Asif and directed by Meer Sikandar, this HUM TV serial builds its drama around a dangerous question: can motherhood soften someone who has treated every relationship as a rung on the ladder? Sharmeen Kashif, Faiq Khan, Najiba Faiz and Faiza Gilani anchor the household around her as loyalty, class ambition and the cost of manipulation collide. Sahira is not designed to be easy to love, but her nerve makes her impossible to ignore, giving Meesni the addictive pull of a cautionary tale told at full soap-operatic heat.

Our gripe is the direction: when a pivotal moment should hit hardest, awkward staging drains it of credibility and leaves Bilal's otherwise committed work stranded. Still, Muhammad Asif's unapologetically thorny protagonist keeps the family drama simmering. This is pulpy, poisonous daily-soap storytelling with a properly magnetic centre.
