About Mere Humdam
At the center of Mere Humdam is Warda (Sarah Khan), a responsible young woman supporting her mother and younger sister Aiman (Natalia Awais). A new job brings her into the orbit of the wealthy Zaidi household, where capable, compassionate Usama (Syed Jibran) runs the family business while his pampered friend Haris (Goher Mumtaz) drifts through life on inherited privilege. Warda and Usama's awkward first meeting quickly softens into trust, but Mr Zaidi has quietly chosen her as a possible bride for Haris. That family plan turns a promising friendship into a tense romantic triangle, with duty, class expectations, and Haris's sense of entitlement pulling everyone in conflicting directions.
Written by Seema Munaf and directed by Haseeb Ali, the 24-episode HUM TV serial works in an intimate family-drama register. Sarah Khan gives Warda a mix of warmth and backbone, while Syed Jibran's steady Usama and Goher Mumtaz's indulged Haris create the emotional contrast that keeps the central choice compelling.
Editor’s Take
Sarah Khan gives this familiar triangle its pulse, making Warda's decency feel spirited rather than saintly, and her early banter with Natalia Awais adds welcome snap. We also like Syed Jibran's calm, compassionate counterweight to Goher Mumtaz's pampered Haris. Our gripe? The entitled-heir setup announces its complications a little too neatly, so surprise is not the hook. What keeps us watching is the sincerity: simple, warm, and carried by performers who understand the assignment.
