About Meri Baji

Nasreen (Javeria Abbasi) cleans other people's houses so her own has food in it. Her husband Sharafat (Rashid Farooqui) drives a rickshaw, gambles away what he earns, and treats his family's hunger as somebody else's problem. That leaves three daughters caught between what they want and what poverty allows. Rabia (Kiran Tabeer), the ambitious eldest and Nasreen's stepdaughter, is certain a rich husband is her only way out. Neelofer (Aroha Khan) is the quiet one who keeps the house running. Chutki (Hira Ahmed), the youngest, dreams of becoming a doctor and is sent out to work instead. When Sharafat starts pricing Neeli's marriage to a friend willing to pay for her, and Rabia sets her sights on the wealthy fiancé of the woman whose house she cleans, the family's fault lines split wide open.
