Mubarak Ho Beti Hui Hai follows Naheed (Saima Noor), a devoted mother raising three daughters with her husband Sadiq (Sajid Hasan) in a crowded joint family where a boy is treated as an inheritance and a girl as an expense. After Sadiq becomes head of the household, his hunger for a male heir hardens into cruelty. The birth of a fourth daughter pushes him toward Anila (Sabreen Hisbani), his late brother's widow, leaving Naheed and her girls to face rejection, financial pressure and the casual misogyny of relatives who call daughters a burden. Yet Naheed refuses to let that verdict define her children. Supported and challenged by daughters including the defiant Amber (Saboor Aly), she fights to build a life rooted in dignity, education and affection. Faiza Iftikhar's social drama turns a familiar domestic injustice into a bruising family story, carried by a mother who will not apologize for loving her daughters. It is an earnest, performance-led watch about survival, self-respect and the cost of treating parenthood like a contest for sons.

Editor’s Take

Saima Noor gives this social melodrama its pulse, making Naheed's quiet resolve feel lived-in rather than saintly, while Sajid Hasan turns Sadiq's ugly entitlement into something disturbingly recognizable. We loved how the mother-daughter bond carries Faiza Iftikhar's message without sanding off its anger. Our one gripe? The later stretch circles its conflicts and lets subplots sprawl. Even so, the performances keep the sermon human, and that is where the drama lands hardest.
