About Qayamat

Qayamat follows sisters Samra (Amar Khan) and Ifrah (Neelum Munir), raised in a lower-middle-class home where hard work has given them confidence but not control over the marriage decisions made around them. Samra is quiet and dutiful, while Ifrah speaks her mind, and both are pulled into the orbit of their domineering uncle Mukhtar and his reckless son Rashid (Ahsan Khan). When family pressure places Samra in a marriage shaped by entitlement rather than respect, its consequences force Ifrah to confront the same household and decide how much of herself she is willing to sacrifice. Sarwat Nazeer's drama turns a family proposal into a tense study of inherited cruelty, parental complicity, and the cost of denying women a voice. Ahsan Khan gives Rashid a volatile, unsettling charm, while Amar Khan and Neelum Munir make the sisters' contrasting strengths the emotional center. Our gripe is the familiar one: 47 episodes ask the central cycle of cruelty to repeat itself too often. Still, when Qayamat lets its women push back, the melodrama finds a fierce pulse.
