About Ranjha Ranjha Kardi

Born into a family that survives by collecting refuse, Noor Bano, known as Noori (Iqra Aziz), refuses to let poverty decide the limits of her life. Fiercely intelligent and hungry for dignity, she leaves home for factory work in the city, where ambition, class prejudice and unsafe power dynamics test every scrap of her resolve. Her hopes become entangled with Sahir (Syed Jibran), a charming shop worker chasing his own escape, and Bhola (Imran Ashraf), a guileless, vulnerable heir protected by his formidable mother, Fehmida (Asma Abbas). Writer Faiza Iftikhar and director Kashif Nisar turn their collision into a socially alert drama about who gets respect, who controls a woman's choices and how appearances distort compassion. Noori is no passive victim: her wit, pride and capacity for reinvention keep the story moving even when the world closes in. Anchored by Iqra Aziz's fire and Imran Ashraf's deeply observed performance, Ranjha Ranjha Kardi makes hardship feel immediate without losing sight of hope.
