Ruswai follows Sameera (Sana Javed), a bright young doctor whose secure life is shattered by a violent sexual assault. As she struggles to reclaim her voice, the people closest to her reveal how sympathy can curdle into shame, control, and blame. Her childhood love Salman (Mikaal Zulfiqar), a charming pilot who once seemed unwavering, cannot give her the support she needs, and the fault lines in their relationship spread through two intertwined families. Their conflict also threatens the marriage of Sameera's brother Hamza (Osama Tahir) and Salman's sister Wardah (Minna Tariq), whose lives are bound by the tradition of watta satta, or bride exchange. Written by Naila Ansari, the serial turns one family's crisis into a pointed look at survivorhood, social stigma, and the damage caused when honour matters more than compassion.
