Every night of Ramadan 2022, ARY Digital slipped a brand new short film into its Shan e Ramazan transmission, and Sirat e Mustaqeem Season 2 is the collection they add up to. There is no continuing cast and no running plot. Each episode takes one everyday moral fault line and builds a self-contained story around it, announced plainly in the title: arrogance in Takabur, ingratitude in Nashukri, suspicion in Badgumani, deceit in Dhoka, the words of a curse in Baddua, the cry of the wronged in Begunah Ki Aah, and finally the reckoning of Jesi Karni Wesi Bharni. The players change with the story, drawing on Hina Altaf, Saba Hameed, Nimra Khan, Shamoon Abbasi, Behroz Sabzwari, Amna Ilyas and Rashid Farooqui among many others. Then the drama hands off to the host, who puts that night's question to a panel of ulama over iftar.
