About Teri Chah Mein

Teri Chah Mein turns a familiar extended-family household into a volatile argument about love, age and obligation. Mehwish (Maria Wasti) is a middle-aged university lecturer balancing marriage, work and two children. Her daughter Zara (Saboor Ali) is devoted to her cousin and fiance, Faisal (Farhan Saeed), and assumes their childhood engagement will become a settled future. Faisal is looking in a far more dangerous direction: he is drawn to Mehwish, the woman Zara trusts as both mother and moral anchor. His confession strains two closely connected families and exposes the price of pursuing happiness when desire collides with motherhood, loyalty and public judgment. Faryal Mehmood joins the central quartet as Amber, adding another current to an already unsettled emotional landscape. Written by Samina Ijaz and directed by Abis Raza, the serial moves quickly through unpredictable turns while keeping its sharpest question in view: can love claim to have no boundaries when crossing them wounds the people closest to you?

Farhan Saeed gives the drama its most compelling spark, playing Faisal with enough conviction to make an outrageous emotional knot compulsively watchable. We also admire how briskly Abis Raza keeps Samina Ijaz's unpredictable turns moving. Our one gripe? Mehwish's emotional shifts can feel underwritten, leaving Maria Wasti to bridge gaps the script should've filled. Still, this is messy family melodrama with a pulse, the kind that makes disbelief part of the fun.
