About Barfi Laddu

Barfi Laddu turns an arranged wedding into a noisy, affectionate romantic comedy about two people who seem spectacularly ill-matched. Barfi (Sumbul Iqbal) is educated, spirited and determined that love should be part of the bargain. Laddu (Ali Safina) is unschooled but bursting with oversized dreams. Before the ceremony, Barfi attempts to whisk her groom away for a private meeting while her friend Gulabo and Laddu's uncle Mastana cover for them, a plan that only feeds the wedding-day confusion.

Marriage is merely the starting bell. As Barfi and Laddu learn one another's rhythms, their eccentric relatives keep crowding the frame with rival schemes, bruised egos and comic misunderstandings. Dr. Muhammad Younis Butt's family setup gives Behroz Sabzwari, Irsa Ghazal, Ismail Tara, Zaheen Tahira, Nayyar Ejaz and Saleem Mairaj room to stir the household pot. The result is a bright ensemble comedy built around an unlikely couple discovering affection amid constant domestic commotion.
