About Zoya Sawleha

Two sisters grow up as guests in a house that belongs to them. After their father dies young, Zoya (Madiha Imam) and her sister Saleha are left under the roof of an uncle (Adnan Jillani) who has settled comfortably into a mansion that is legally the girls' property, while their mother takes whatever odd work she can find to keep the three of them fed. Saleha lives up to her name, so gentle she rarely speaks up even for herself. Zoya draws the opposite lesson from the same childhood: she promises her mother she will become a lawyer, take the mansion back and avenge the father they lost. Her fiance wants something smaller, a wedding, children, a modest home of their own, and cannot understand why she refuses to stop there. Written by Madiha Shahid for Har Pal Geo, with Wahaj Ali, Ramsha Khan, Nousheen Shah and Ali Safina rounding out the household.
