Coke Studio Pakistan opened Season 11 with Hum Dekhenge in July 2018, gathering the season's entire artist lineup around Faiz Ahmad Faiz's celebrated Urdu poem. Zohaib Kazi and Ali Hamza produced the rendition, while the composition is credited to Professor Asrar, whose setting became famous through Iqbal Bano's performances. Released just before Pakistan's 2018 general election, the version was presented by Coke Studio as a call for unity in diversity. Instead of centering one star, it passes the verses from voice to voice before widening into a massed chorus. Hum Dekhenge means "we shall see," but the Urdu phrase carries the certainty that a promised day will arrive. Crowns, thrones, trembling earth, and divine judgment are not decorative images: they turn spiritual language into a vision of worldly change.
