The Story Behind Doosra Chehra OST
Zara Madani's Doosra Chehra OST accompanied Geo Entertainment's four-part Eid 2025 drama about a marriage unsettled by the glamorous lives its characters see online. Har Pal Geo uploaded this short video on 5 June, ahead of the serial's advertised 7 June start. Its credit block names Madani as both singer and composer, Ali Mustafa as music producer, and SK Khalish as lyricist.
Written by Rida Bilal and directed by Shehrazade Sheikh, the drama follows Komal as admiration for an influencer couple turns into comparison and dissatisfaction at home. Geo describes the song as expressing the pain of unfulfilled dreams, placing Madani's solo vocal close to that conflict. Reviewing the four-episode series later that month, Gaitee Ara Siddiqi singled out the OST as touching.
Meaning & Translation
Doosra Chehra means "second face" in Urdu. For this song, the phrase points to the difference between the life someone displays and the feelings hidden behind it. Har Pal Geo describes the OST as an expression of unfulfilled dreams. In the drama, Komal measures her ordinary marriage against a glamorous couple's online image, then struggles with the distance between that image and her own life.
The title gives that comparison a second edge: the apparently perfect couple may also have a private face the public cannot see. The song's sadness belongs to both the longing for another life and the discovery that appearances offer no reliable measure of happiness.
