About Doosra Chehra
Salman (Arez Ahmed) and Komal (Saboor Aly) have the kind of marriage that does not photograph well: modest, quiet, running on a middle-class budget and a lot of patience. Zara (Sanam Saeed) and Hamza (Adeel Hussain) have the opposite life. They are influencers adored by thousands, and every luxury getaway and love-soaked caption they post lands in Komal's feed like a verdict on her own. Admiration curdles into comparison, comparison into insecurity, and the pressure starts leaking into a home that was perfectly content before the scrolling began. Rida Bilal's script keeps asking the question the algorithm never will: how much of that flawless second face is real, and what does it cost the people wearing it? Directed by Shehrazade Sheikh for Har Pal Geo, this four-episode 7th Sky Entertainment mini-series makes its case in a single week of television, with no room for a dragged subplot.
Editor’s Take
Four episodes. That is the whole flex. Doosra Chehra says what a fifty-episode saga would belabour, then gets out of the room, and Sanam Saeed and Adeel Hussain wear the influencer skin so easily you forget it is a performance. Our one gripe? The two-couples setup is a thesis statement before it is a story, and you can see the symmetry coming from the first scene. Still, a drama about scrolling that never once turns preachy is a small miracle.
