The Story Behind Main Khayal Hoon Kisi Aur Ka OST
Main Khayal Hoon Kisi Aur Ka OST was created for HUM TV's 2018 romantic serial, with Owais Niazi and Razia Abrar sharing the vocals, Ahmed Ali composing, and Fatima Najeeb writing the lyrics. The song mirrors the drama's central bind: Daniya and Zaryab imagine a future together, but family obligation and an arranged match with Armaan pull that certainty apart. Its two-voice presentation is especially apt for a story built on affection that cannot find a clear path forward, turning the title into the emotional key for the serial rather than a separate romantic interlude. The recurring sense of closeness shadowed by distance gives the track its ache. It works as a compact musical introduction to a love triangle where gratitude, loyalty and personal desire keep tugging in different directions.
Meaning & Translation
The Urdu title translates to "I am someone else's thought." In the song, it captures the disorientation of loving one person while emotional claims and circumstances seem to place the heart elsewhere. Relationships feel knotted, familiar surroundings turn strange, and even being physically near the beloved cannot close the distance between them. The speaker questions how to forget that attachment and wonders what fault led to such helpless separation. Rather than treating heartbreak as a clean ending, the words dwell on suspended love: dreams are neither fully awake nor completely lost, feelings remain unspoken, and the person who matters most has suddenly become unreachable. It is a lament for love trapped between intimacy and obligation.
