Ab Ker Meri Rafugari enters a conservative joint family where daughters are cherished but rarely trusted. Ambitious, competitive Taban (Ushna Shah) has grown up under the authority of her strict father, Mujahid (Usman Peerzada), in a household that refuses to marry its girls outside the family circle. A chance meeting puts her in the path of sheltered Jazib (Daniyal Raheel), whose instant attraction quickly hardens into an obsessive pursuit. His proposal forces both families to confront the line between love and control, while Taban's sister Zoofi (Mariam Ansari), cousin Maida (Mira Sethi), and their mothers navigate the same rules from different corners of the home. Adapted by Saira Raza from her novel and directed by Adnan Wai Qureshi, the serial turns a romance into a sharper question: what does parental love mean when it comes without faith in a daughter's judgment? The cousins' warmth gives this pressure-filled family drama its most inviting counterweight.

Usman Peerzada gives the family conflict its steel, making Mujahid's protective rage feel lived-in rather than merely loud, while Taban, Zoofi and Maida share the easy warmth of real cousins. Our one gripe? Jazib's love-at-first-sight pursuit slips too readily into stalking, and Daniyal Raheel's sheltered persona does not always sell the obsessive romantic. Still, Saira Raza's joint-family pressure cooker feels refreshingly removed from the usual infidelity carousel. We stayed for the women holding one another up.
