About Daraar

Daraar follows Irha (Amar Khan), a hardworking young orphan who supports the uncle's household that took her in, even as daily taunts remind her how precarious her place is. Her cousin Sajal (Momal Sheikh) wants the glamour and comfort Irha has never chased, and she is willing to bend every loyalty to get it. Their lives collide with Shaheer Ahmed (Syed Jibran), a polished, self-made businessman whose gentle manner conceals a dangerous appetite for control and attention. What begins as a promise of security becomes a tense triangle of affection, jealousy and obsession, with family bonds pulled tight by ambition and betrayal. Written by Misbah Nosheen, Daraar turns a familiar domestic setup into a pressure cooker, asking what dignity costs when wealth and respectability hide emotional cruelty. Amar Khan gives the story its moral centre, while Momal Sheikh and Syed Jibran sharpen its darker edges. It is an absorbing watch for viewers who like relationship dramas with real bite.

Editor’s Take

Amar Khan gives Daraar its pulse, making Irha's quiet self-respect feel sturdier than the melodrama around her. Syed Jibran is chillingly smooth as Shaheer, while Momal Sheikh commits to Sajal's bruising selfishness. We especially like the show's insistence that endurance is not the same as virtue, a point the drama lands with rare conviction. Our one gripe? Its suffering can feel stretched and repetitive. Still, when Irha finds her voice, Daraar earns its title and our attention.
