Daraar is the Urdu-language title song for Geo Entertainment's 2022 romantic suspense serial, pairing Sahir Ali Bagga and Nimra Mehra in a wounded duet. Bagga also composed the track, while M. Mujtaba wrote its lyrics. HAR PAL GEO released the full OST on 11 August 2022, one day after the drama premiered. Made for the 7th Sky Entertainment series starring Amar Khan, Syed Jibran and Momal Sheikh, the song reflects the fractures running through Irha, Shaheer and Sajal's relationships. Its central musical idea is the contrast between two lead voices, which turns private sorrow into a shared conversation rather than a solitary lament. Meaning & Translation
Daraar means a crack, fissure or rift, and here it describes a relationship broken by betrayal and distance. The Urdu lyrics speak from a heart that has lost its support and cannot tell whether its tears come from joy or grief. Rather than answer hurt with anger, the narrator wishes the absent beloved happiness and promises that separation will not turn love into resentment. Images of thorns on love's path, extinguished lamps and once-familiar people becoming strangers deepen the sense of abandonment. The title names both the visible split between two people and the quieter break within the self: love remains, but trust, belonging and any clear way forward have fractured.
