About Deewangi

Deewangi follows Nageen Faiyaz (Hiba Bukhari), an ambitious young woman forced to juggle menial jobs while living under the control of a cruel brother-in-law. Determined to escape poverty and dependence, she becomes a bus hostess and crosses paths with Sultan Durrani (Danish Taimoor), a wealthy, politically connected man accustomed to getting what he wants. Sultan is captivated at once, but his grand public declaration pulls Nageen into a world where romance, pride, class, and power are dangerously tangled. As misunderstandings and bruised egos alter both their futures, Nageen tries to rebuild her life with help from loyal friends, while Sultan refuses to accept that their story is over. Written by Sadia Akhtar, the serial turns a charged love story into a tense study of obsession and agency, with Ali Abbas bringing steadier warmth as Haroon. It is glossy, emotionally volatile, and built around a heroine fighting to choose her own path.

Editor’s Take

Danish Taimoor makes Sultan's obsession disturbingly magnetic, and his audience-choice Best Actor win makes perfect sense. Hiba Bukhari gives Nageen enough steel to keep their push and pull from becoming a one-man show. Our one gripe? The later stretch circles the same emotional pressure once too often, dulling some of the suspense. Still, when these two lock eyes, the screen feels charged. Messy, compulsive, and very hard to quit.
