About Ghulam Bashah Sundri

Set against a feudal estate in rural Sindh, Ghulam Bashah Sundri follows Ghulam (Imran Ashraf), a principled doctor whose lowly place in a powerful household conceals a past he does not yet understand. When Sundri (Hina Afridi), a spirited young woman carrying her own lost family history, enters his world, affection grows between them. Their bond draws the attention of Bashah (Zaviyar Nauman Ijaz), the privileged heir whose desire for Sundri hardens into obsession. Under the watch of ruthless patriarch Jhandad (Shahzad Nawaz), old betrayals and buried bloodlines begin to disturb the haveli’s rigid order. Writer Zanjabeel Asim Shah builds the romance into a gothic struggle over class, inheritance and unchecked power, where love can be both refuge and rebellion. As Ghulam, Bashah and Sundri are pulled deeper into rival loyalties, each must decide whether family honor deserves obedience, or whether justice demands breaking the system that shaped them.

Editor’s Take

Zaviyar Nauman Ijaz is the surprise voltage here, making Bashah’s entitlement dangerous, wounded and weirdly compelling, while Imran Ashraf gives the central rivalry real heat. We also love how Amin Iqbal turns the haveli into a pressure cooker. Our one gripe? The extended confrontations and villain monologues sometimes push rich melodrama into pure stalling. Still, when these three leads lock horns, the show has the swagger of a full-blooded folk tragedy.
