About Gumraah

Huma (Hina Altaf) and Faryal (Komal Aziz Khan) are best friends from the same middle class world, inseparable until Faryal's family abruptly comes into money and the distance between the two houses turns into a wound. Huma starts spending her days in Faryal's drawing room, learning in detail exactly what she does not have, and the taste for it never leaves her. Her father, Master Ijaz (Behroze Sabzwari), watches the change take hold and cannot argue her out of it. She turns down Aliyan (Hammad Farooqui), Faryal's cousin, because his salary will never stretch to the life she wants, then takes a job at the company owned by Faryal's father, Sarmad (Faisal Rehman), where ambition and appetite begin to blur. Written by Malik Khuda Buksh and directed by Saima Waseem, this 35-episode HUM TV serial watches a friendship curdle into something colder.
