About Hona Tha Pyar
One bad turn in traffic throws Hania (Sanam Jung) into the orbit of Salman, or Sunny (Arslan Naseer), a young man scrambling to keep his life on track. The accident leaves Hania with a hospital bill, while her family faces an impatient landlord and medicine costs for her ailing father. Her attempt to hold Salman accountable sends both of their jobs wobbling, only for a housing arrangement and a knot of old family grievances to keep pushing them together.
Written by Saima Akram Chaudhary, Hona Tha Pyar is a brisk Eid telefilm that turns rent trouble, workplace chaos, meddling parents, and bruised pride into a warm romantic comedy. Sanam Jung and Arslan Naseer anchor the unlikely courtship, with Bushra Ansari, Behroze Sabzwari, Ali Tahir, Adnan Shah Tipu, and Atiqa Odho filling the family circus around them. Beneath the farce sits a tender question: can kindness outlast a terrible first impression?
Editor’s Take
Sanam Jung and Arslan Naseer give this accident-to-affection comedy a breezy odd-couple spark, but Saima Akram Chaudhary's sharp, sarcastic dialogue is the real engine. The family squabbles stay lively thanks to Bushra Ansari and Behroze Sabzwari, even when the plot announces each romantic turn well before it arrives. Our one gripe? The coincidences pile up a little too neatly. Still, we smiled through the contrivances. Sweet, quick, and genuinely funny, this is Eid comfort viewing done right.
