In a middle-class household where cousin marriages are treated as family tradition, Imaan (Rabab Hashim) and her cousin Maham become tangled in a rivalry around Jibran (Ali Abbas). Yet Imaan's heart lies with Faris (Imran Ashraf), the adopted son who works in her father's shop and is still treated by some relatives as an outsider. When family loyalty, class prejudice, and parental pressure close in, marriage stops looking like a private choice and becomes a test of obedience.

Written by Mustafa Hashmi from a story by Parisa Siddiqui, Mein Maa Nahin Banna Chahti uses its love triangle to question a harsher bargain: the demand that a wife prove her worth through motherhood, especially by producing a male heir.
