About Rafta Rafta

Rafta Rafta trades the oversized family circus of many Ramadan serials for a compact, warm rom-com about two ordinary people trying to stay afloat. Savera (Saheefa Jabbar Khattak) is a blunt, practical young woman caring for her mother (Hina Dilpazeer) while chasing overdue rent from tenants. One of them is Hamza (Zaviyar Nauman Ejaz), an insurance salesman whose shaky finances do nothing to cool his one-sided affection for his landlady. As rent disputes, family expectations and unwanted marriage plans keep pushing them together, their bickering begins to reveal the companionship underneath. Written by Hassan Imam, the seven-episode series gives its leads a recognisable world of modest homes, everyday money worries and relationships that turn on witty conversation rather than melodramatic shocks. Saheefa's grounded Savera and Zaviyar's lovelorn Hamza make the central push and pull easy to enjoy, while Hina Dilpazeer, Rehan Sheikh and Faizan Sheikh bring seasoned comic texture to the chaos.
