About Zulm

Zulm turns a young woman's fight for justice into a tense collision between privilege and conscience. Esha (Sahar Hashmi) comes from a modest family, but her life is thrown off course when she crosses Malik Ijlal (Faysal Quraishi), an influential man accustomed to treating power as permission. After she refuses to bend to his will, his retaliation pulls her family into a frightening struggle against a system built to protect men like him. Shahwaiz (Shehzad Sheikh), a lawyer willing to challenge that influence, becomes an essential ally as the battle moves from private intimidation to the public arena. Written by Rehana Aftab and directed by Ilyas Kashmiri, the serial mixes romance, family pressure, and courtroom conflict with the momentum of a revenge thriller. Its sharpest hook is the imbalance at its center: Esha has truth and resolve, while Ijlal has money, reach, and very few limits. Faysal Quraishi is Zulm's live wire, playing Ijlal with the polished menace of a man who mistakes influence for immunity. We also like how Sahar Hashmi's Esha gives the power struggle a stubborn emotional center. Our one gripe? The legal-world provocation can feel blunt, and its treatment of lawyers drew real criticism beyond the screen. Still, when the drama locks Esha, Ijlal, and Shahwaiz into the same moral pressure cooker, it crackles. Messy, forceful, and hard to ignore.
