About Beqadar

Beqadar follows Mahrukh (Anum Fayyaz), a woman who holds her family together while it quietly comes apart around her. HUM TV's 2022 serial builds its story out of the ache of domestic violence, the fault lines that open between blood relations, and the tangled loyalties that come with step-children and second marriages. Mahrukh keeps choosing sacrifice, setting aside her own love and comfort for the sake of people who rarely return the favor, and the drama watches what that steady self-erasure costs her. Written by Raheel Ahmed and Mahmood Elahi and directed by Kamran Akbar Khan, it later leaps forward in time, letting old wounds resurface and reshape the lives of Mahrukh and those closest to her. With Hassan Ahmed, Fariya Hassan, Zhalay Sarhadi, and Hammad Farooqui rounding out the household, it is a slow, sorrowful study of a woman worn thin by duty.
